AIG Zone 2 - MOHAMMED ARI ALI to Visit NAGAFF Hqtrs

As part of his effort to strengthen synergy and strategic policing responsibility within his domain, Assistant Inspector General(AIG) of Police, Muhammed Ari Ali has concluded plans to visit National Association of Government Approved Frieght Forwarders(NAGAFF) headqarters next week.
This  was contained  in a press statement made available today by founder of the association, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam.
According to him, "Renew hope is the mantra of the present administration and the Nigeria police is not left out to ensuring due compliance to economic empowerment and enhanced security architecture of Nigeria through collaboration and responsible partnership with critical stakeholders and the society at large. 
"Under the circumstances the AIG is willing to visit the headquaters of the umbrella body of freight forwarders of Nigeria to discuss on the best way going forward in their relationship with the freight  PRACTIONERS outside the ports and borders of southwest region."
Dr. Aniebonam stressed that It is fact and on record that the seaports of zone A western zone is under the control and supervision of AIG maritime with a seating commissioner of police. 
"However, the command structure and territorial boundaries changes as soon as the cargo is exited out of customs control of the ports and borders." 
To him, "His visit shall definitely help to resolve the avoidable  harassment, intimidation, extortion and unnecessary arrest of cargo and freight forwarding PRACTIONERS in the course of their statutory duty. 
"The AIG also shall be addressed over the unlawful duty of unauthorised tax collectors along the City High ways of lagos on cargo. 
"NAGAFF members and indeed all the freight forwarders and maritime media PRACTIONERS are being alerted as we conclude and take a date for his visitation next week the month of October 2023."
